DISCUSSION
Ron Palmer Summer & Academic Camp dates are August 9 - August 12 from 8am - 5pm at Browning High School (2180 Obispo Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90804). This year’s focus is on fun academics where students will relate math knowledge to basketball games. Math teachers and entrepreneurial mentors will offer engaging and active learning workshops. Snacks, lunch and water are provided. Students will be teamed up and will practice basic basketball fundamentals while improving their overall basketball skills.

The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion (LBCEI) is a community development corporation that expands inclusive economic opportunities to build and sustain wealth for all communities in Long Beach. The Community Health Day will take place on August 20th at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park (1950 Lemon Ave, Long Beach, CA 90806). The event will include backpack and food giveaways, and community health resources. The Community Health Day is an opportunity to get the community together, provide resources and fun.
