DISCUSSION
The Little Lion Foundation is a Long Beach-based organization committed to saving the lives of cats in need, many of which are orphaned or have physical ailments, and helping them get adopted. Founded in 2016, the organization specializes in neonatal, orphaned, special needs, and trauma cases involving both cats and kittens. Each animal served receives vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, deworming, and any other needed medical procedures. On September 17, 2022, the Little Lion Foundation will host a Community Pet Wellness event offering the aforementioned services to the community’s cats for free. I am requesting the Council’s approval to lend my support toward this charitable and necessary event.
