TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,701.15, offset by the Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the Friends of Belmont Shore for their Annual Community Concert scheduled for August 11, 2022; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,701.15 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
The Friends of Belmont Shore host its annual community concert on August 11. These concerts create positivity and a sense of community throughout the neighborhood in a family friendly way. Community concerts bring residents out to our beautiful Long Beach parks to enjoy our wonderful summer evenings with friends, family, and neighbors along with great music. Therefore, the City of Long Beach should support the Friends of Belmont Shore and their annual community concert.
STATEMENT OF URGENCY:
As this concert is scheduled for August 11, 2022 funding is sought prior to the event.
FISCAL IMPACT
No Financial Management review was able to be conducted due to the urgency and time sensitivity of this item.
