City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 35502 with Shree Ganesh, Inc., to continue providing essential emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness.

On February 4, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to Shree Ganesh, Inc., as part of its adoption of RFP HE19-131 for providing temporary lodging and emergency shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness for a period of one year, with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods, at the discretion of the City Manager. On July 7, 2020, the City Council authorized a first amendment to Contract No. 35502 with Shree Ganesh, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for the Coast Motel for a period of one year, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. On March 9, 2021, the City Council authorized a second amendment to Contract No. 35502 for an increase to the contract amount not to exceed $1,000,000. On July 6, 2021, the City Council authorized a third amendment to Contract No. 35502 to increase the contract amount not to exceed $1,750,000 and extended the contract through September 30, 2022.
