TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $75,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Albert Smith.

DISCUSSION

Albert Smith has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Government and Personnel Attorney-Client Committee on January 18, 2022, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Albert Smith, in the amount of $75,000.00.

Approve recommendation.
