TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $220,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for James La Barba.

DISCUSSION

James La Barba has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Government and Personnel Attorney-Client Committee on January 18, 2022, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release in the amount of $220,000.00 by the City and James La Barba.

Approve recommendation.
