TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $232,362.50 with a life pension thereafter of $255.11 per week subject to COLA increases in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Gregory Krabbe.

DISCUSSION

Gregory Krabbe has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Government and Personnel Attorney-Client Committee on January 18, 2022, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Gregory Krabbe, based upon a 93 percent disability rating with provision for a lifetime pension at the rate of $255.11 per week subject to COLA increases after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

Approve recommendation.
