TITLE
Recommendation to respectfully request the City Council to receive and file a report concerning the Fifth Council District Library Round-Up.

DISCUSSION
The Fifth District Library Round-Up encouraged residents, schools, PT A's and businesses to "round-up" their spare change during the month of April (National Library Month) to help the two branch libraries (Ruth Bach and EI Dorado) purchase additional materials.

Coin containers were distributed to local area businesses and schools with a label indicating what the project is about and where the contribution is destined. Additionally, donations were accepted at the Third Annual Good Neighbor Festival, which was held on September 26, 2009.

This year, the following businesses and organizations participated in the Library RoundUp: EI Dorado Branch Library, Once Read Books, Ruth Bach Branch Library, Postal Annex, I Sold It On E-Bay, Joan Stiehl- Farmer's Insurance, and the Fifth Council District Office.
