TITLE
Recommendation to respectfully request the City Council to receive and file a report concerning the Third Annual Good Neighbor Festival.
DISCUSSION
On September 26,2009 the Third Annual Good Neighbor Festival was held at Good Neighbor Park. The event brought together Fifth District Residents, local non-profit organizations and businesses as well as City Departments.
The event featured a pie-eating contest, a sidewalk chalk-art competition, carnival games, and music by The Wonderelles. In addition informational tables and displays provided information to attendees about various city services and attractions.
The Third Annual Good Neighbor Festival was sponsored by the Port of Long Beach, the Long Beach Airport, Boeing Corporation, Newcastle Partners, the Long Beach Police Officer's Association, the Long Beach Firefighter's Association, and the East Spring Street Business Association.
