DISCUSSION
Mike Moran has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 6, 2009, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Mike Moran, based upon a 60 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

Ajay Sarin has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on October 6, 2009, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of (1) a 73 percent permanent disability rating with a further provision for a life pension at the rate of $21.00 per week after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, (2) a 6 percent permanent disability rating with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and (3) a $10,000.00 buy-out of vocational rehabilitation by the City and Ajay Sarin.
