DISCUSSION

AOC7 neighborhood group leaders are working with Help Me Help You and the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) to put together a Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway event for families in need on November 23, 2021. A donation of $400 will support a significant number of turkeys, sides, and packaging costs to help bring Thanksgiving to families in need.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on November 4, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a contribution to Partners of Parks to support AOC7’s Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway on November 23, 2021. The total appropriation increase of $400 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of Second Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the normal budgeted scope of duties and a have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities. There is no local job impact associated with the recommendation.
