TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $250, offset by the Fourth Council District one-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the Zaferia Business Association for their Happy Sundays event; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $250 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

The Zaferia Business Association reached out to the Fourth District Council Office to support their annual event, Happy Sundays. This is a free, all-ages music event that took place in the heart of the Fourth District on Sunday, August 29th. Additional funding was needed to provide free transportation along Anaheim Street.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a contribution to Zaferia Business Association for their Happy Sundays event. The total appropriation to increase in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department in the amount of $250 is offset by a decrease of appropriation of Fourth Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. Completing this work is anticipated to result in a minimal impact to staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and a minimal impact on City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
