TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the First Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) will be holding this year’s Los Angeles Builders Ball on September 23, 2021. The Habitat for Humanity Builders Ball celebrates the donors and partners of Habitat LA, as well as its counterparts in the building, real estate, and related industries, who are all helping to transform the landscape of the Greater Los Angeles. It is an evening to raise awareness and funds to help empower families and build strength and stability in our communities through homeownership. Proceeds support Habitat LA's mission and initiatives to revitalize neighborhoods. This donation is to help offset some cost associated with the event and further support the mission of Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles.
