DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into an agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to accept and expend grant funding in the amount of $215,000, for the period of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, to continue and expand the Health and Human Services Department (Health Department) “GreenlightLB” program.

The Initiative is in line with the City’s recently adopted Long Beach Safe Streets (Vision Zero) Initiative.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Taylor M. Anderson on July 28, 2021 and by Budget Analysis Officer Greg Sorensen on August 6, 2021.
