TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $300, offset by Second Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide support for the 2020 Giving Heart Tree Celebration through payments to Alyssandra Nighswonger ($150) and Shy But Flyy ($150) for performances; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $300 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

On November 17, 2020, City Council approved to appropriate $50,000 of Second Council District One-Time Priority Funding to provide support for the A Giving Heart Tree Project. The 2020 A Giving Heart Tree Project celebration was held on zoom on December 10, 2020. Additional expenses occurred during this event for performances and the Second Council District will be providing support for these additional expenses incurred under a different Councilmember.

This matter has been reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on March 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide support for the 2020 Giving Heart Tree Celebration through payments to Alyssandra Nighswonger and Shy But Flyy for performances. The total appropriation increase in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $300 is offset by a decrease of appropriation of the Second Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the Citywide Activities Department. Implementing this recommendation is expected to have minimal impact on staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council Priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

CINDY ALLEN,

COUNCILWOMAN SECOND DISTRICT
