TITLE

Recommendation to respectfully request City Council approval of the 2021 Federal Legislative Agenda as recommended by the Federal Legislation Committee.

DISCUSSION

Each year, the City Council adopts a Federal Legislative Agenda, which outlines the City’s legislative and funding priorities for the coming federal legislative session.  This document provides policy direction to staff on federal issues, allowing the City to take positions on legislative proposals and to work with the City’s federal legislative delegates to advance priorities adopted by the City Council.

On March 11, 2021, the Federal Legislation Committee met, received staff’s recommended changes for the 2021 Federal Legislative Agenda, and voted to forward those changes to the City Council for consideration and adoption.  The full draft agenda is attached.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

REX RICHARDSON,

VICE MAYOR, NINTH DISTRICT, CHAIR

FEDERAL LEGISLATION COMMITTEE
