TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $3,637, offset by the Second Council District One-Time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to AOC7 for the Second District’s Annual Turkey Giveaway event on November 23, 2020; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $3,637 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
The Second District’s Annual Turkey Giveaway is an event that is hosted by the Second District in partnership with AOC7, Rose Park, and other community stakeholders to provide a Thanksgiving meal for families in need.
AOC7 is a neighborhood group that stands for Anaheim, Orange, Cherry and 7th St. These streets represent the borders of the 2nd, 4th and 6th Council districts. AOC7 was founded to improve the overall quality of life through community engagement, cleanups, and supporting families in need.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a donation to AOC7 for the Second District’s Annual Turkey Giveaway event on November 23, 2020. The total appropriation increase in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $3,637 is offset by a decrease of appropriation of the Second Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the Citywide Activities Department. Implementing this recommendation is anticipated to result in a minimal impact on staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
