Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to amend Agreement No. 34174 with RBF Consulting, A Michael Baker International Company, of Irvine, CA; Agreement No. 34175 with Tetra Tech, Inc., of Long Beach, CA; Agreement No. 34176 with Psomas, of Los Angeles, CA; Agreement No. 34177 with Nabih Youssef & Associates, of Los Angeles, CA; Agreement No. 34178 with Moffatt & Nichol, of Long Beach, CA; Agreement No. 34179 with KOA Corporation, of Gardena, CA; Agreement No. 34180 with Koa Consulting, Inc., of Huntington Beach, CA; Agreement No. 34181 with Kleinfelder, Inc., of San Diego, CA; Agreement No. 34182 with HDR Engineering, Inc., of Long Beach, CA; Agreement No. 34183 with Harris & Associates, of Irvine, CA; Agreement No. 34184 with Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., of Huntington Beach, CA; and Agreement No. 34185 with Anchor QEA, LLC, of Huntington Beach, CA, for as-needed engineering services, to extend the term of the contracts for an additional one-year period through December 31, 2021. DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend the 12 agreements to extend the term of the contracts for an additional one-year period through August 1, 2020, with the existing firms (mentioned above) for as-needed engineering services.
On December 15, 2015, the City Council adopted Specifications No. RFQ PW15-102 and awarded contracts to the 12 firms mentioned in the recommendation. These firms provide as-needed professional engineering services and have committed to using small, local or disadvantaged firms as sub-consultants on their teams, as appropriate. On April 3, 2018, the City Council amended these contracts with a revised total aggregate amount not to exceed $47,500,000 and extended the contract term by two years.
