TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute a Second Amendment to Agreement No. 35299 with the firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo to continue with employment investigations.

DISCUSSION

On January 16, 2019, the City Attorney's office initiated a purchase order in the amount of $200,000 with the firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (AALRR) for employment investigations and,

thereafter, the City Council authorized an agreement with AALRR for an additional $200,000. On October 22, 2019, City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a First Amendment for an additional

$200,000. We are currently on the verge of exceeding the amount of the agreement. Consequently, the City Attorney's office is requesting City Council authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute a

Second Amendment to Agreement No. 35299 with the firm Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo for an additional $200,000 for a total not-to-exceed amount of $800,000 in order that they may continue with

employment investigations.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

CHARLES PARKIN,

CITY ATTORNEY
