DISCUSSION

Supplemental funding is needed to purchase a new storage container for Stearns Champions Park in the Fourth Council District to be used by Long Beach Little League.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon, on August 24, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation provides One-time District Priority Funds to purchase a new storage container for Stearns Champions Park. The total appropriation increase of $2,250 in the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department will be offset by a transfer of Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds from the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
