TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $12,000, offset by the Fifth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide donations to Lakewood Village Little League at $6,000, to Partners of Parks at $3,000, and to Junior League of Long Beach at $3,000 for various community projects; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $12,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION
Councilwoman Mungo Flanigan would like to support these local non-profit organizations and community groups in their efforts to fulfill community serving projects and match past contributions received by their supporters:

· Lakewood Village Little League in support of parent and league infrastructure, field and programming investments made at Heartwell Park and to help minimize the ongoing negative impacts to Little League youth programming during the COVID-19 community health crisis.

· Partners of Parks, directed to The Ranchos Neighborhood Organization funding account, in support of neighborhood beautification efforts and community events for 2021.

· Junior League of Long Beach in support of their 2021 90th year anniversary celebration and goal of contributing $90,000 dollars in community programming assets, which includes $30,000 to our Long Beach Public Library Foundation for a Teen Lounge in the New Billie Jean King Main Library, $30,000 for an on-site Community Garden at Ranchos Los Cerritos, and a third project yet to be determined.

FISCAL IMPACT
