TITLE

WITHDRAWN

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $9,234, offset by the Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the General Fund Group in the City Activities Department to provide funds to the Long Beach Rowing Association to support their improvements and bathroom build out at 10N; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $9,234 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

INTRODUCTION:

The Peter Archer Rowing Center at Marine Stadium 10N will be undergoing a number of renovations to improve the usability and community access to this facility. With the popularity of rowing and the desire to improve this facility along with the build out of bathrooms there is a community benefit to supporting this project.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager, Grace H. Yoon on July 23, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a payment to the Long Beach Rowing Association in support of this project at Marine Stadium 10N. The total appropriation increase in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $9,234 is offset by a decrease of appropriation of Third Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
