TITLE

Require all departments and advisory bodies that have previously adopted conflict of interest codes to review such conflict of interest codes and report to the City Council any amendments, or report that no amendments are necessary, no later than October 1, 2020.

 

DISCUSSION

The Political Reform Act requires the City to notify all departments and advisory bodies, commissions, and committees that have previously adopted conflict of interest codes.  Government Code Section 87306.5, effective 1990, requires that each local government agency conduct a review of its conflict of interest codes every other year.  If any amendments are necessary, the proposed amendment(s) should be submitted to the City Council no later than October 1, 2020.
