TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit claim for death benefits for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $250,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for dependent of decedent, Christopher Parker.

DISCUSSION

The dependent of Christopher Parker is entitled to death benefits in accordance with Workers’ Compensation Law.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on April 21, 2020, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award for death benefits by the City payable to dependent of decedent, Christopher Parker.

Approve recommendation.
