TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute an agreement with the firm of Jarvis, Fay & Gibson, LLP in the matter entitled Diana Lejins; Angela Kimball v City of Long Beach, Case 18STCP02628.
DISCUSSION
The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with the firm of Jarvis, Fay & Gibson, LLP in a total amount not to exceed $300,000 (including funds already expended), in order that the firm may continue to represent the City's interest in the above-entitled matter. The firm previously had represented the City in connection with the above-entitled matter pursuant to a purchase order, but the total fee amount recently exceeded the maximum amount authorized for purchase orders.
FISCAL IMPACT
Payment for these services will come from the Insurance Fund.
