TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to increase interim Munis Contract No. 32000533 with SiteOne Landscape Supply Holding, LLC, of Torrance, CA, for furnishing and delivering irrigation supplies, by $100,000 for a revised total amount not to exceed $200,000, for the current term expiring July 31, 2020. (Citywide)

DISCUSSION
On December 18, 2017, the Purchasing Division in the Department of Financial Management awarded a contract to SiteOne Landscape Supply Holding, LLC (SiteOne), to furnish and deliver Citywide irrigation supplies for a term of two years, with the option to extend the term for three additional one-year periods. After the two-year base term, SiteOne opted to not exercise their extension option due to the increase of industry prices, and the contract expired on December 17, 2019. To ensure continuity of service, interim Munis Contract No. 32000533, in the amount of $100,000, was issued pursuant to the City purchasing guidelines. The interim contract is set to expire on July 31, 2020.

City Council approval is requested to increase Munis Contract No. 32000533 with SiteOne by $100,000, for a total amount not to exceed $200,000. This amendment will allow for the continuation of service providing irrigation supplies to affected City departments until a procurement solicitation process can be completed. Although SiteOne opted not to extend their original contract, they did agree to enter into this interim agreement to allow for continuity of service.

This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Amy R. Webber on February 12, 2020, Purchasing Agent Tara Yeats on February 10, 2020, and by Grants and Projects Officer Arlen Crabtree on February 12, 2020.
