TITLE

DISCUSSION
The City Manager's Office of Special Events and Filming will be organizing the annual Spring into Summer Community Concert on behalf of Council District 3 on April 26, 2020. This is a community focused event designed to bring families, friends, and neighbors together to enjoy live music, in one our beautiful parks highlighting the positivity of what Long Beach has to offer.

As part of the FY 20 Adopted Budget, the City Council allocated $235,000 of Special Advertising and Promotions Fund Group (SAP) funds available to be divided equally between the City Council Districts to be used towards SAP-qualified special events or contributions, managed by the Office of Special Events and Filming in the City Manager Department. This recommendation is requesting that $5,700 of the Third Council District One-time SAP District Priority Funds be allocated for this special event.

STATEMENT OF URGENCY

The event is scheduled for April 26, 2020 and funding is sought to begin planning.

FISCAL IMPACT
Due to the urgency of this item, no fiscal impact assessment has been completed.
