TITLE

DISCUSSION
INTRODUCTION:

On March 28, 2020 the Community Action Team will be partnering with the Third Council Office to host the 6th annual Touch-A-Truck event at the Granada Beach Parking Lot from 9:30 AM to 1 :00 PM. This is a community focused event that brings families together in a positive way to learn about and experience a variety of vehicles and equipment. This event will take place at one of the City's local beaches, calling attention to the City's natural resources.

As part of the FY 20 Adopted Budget, the City Council allocated $235,000 of Special Advertising and Promotions Fund Group (SAP) funds available to be divided equally between the City Council Districts to be used towards SAP-qualified special events or contributions, managed by the Office of Special Events and Filming in the City Manager Department. This recommendation is requesting that $5,555 of the Third Council District One-time SAP District Priority Funds be allocated for this special event

STATEMENT OF URGENCY

The event is scheduled for March 28,2020 and funding is sought prior to the event.
