TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit two Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay 1) $870 and also 2) separate authority to pay $54,230 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Sandra Winn.

DISCUSSION

Sandra Winn has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on February 18, 2020, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of two Stipulations with Request for                      Award by the City and Sandra Winn, based upon 1) a 1 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 2) a 38 percent disability rating, with provisions for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
