Recommendation to increase appropriations in the Special Advertising and Promotion Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $610, offset by the Third Council District Onetime District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to Community Action Team for their Bulldog Beauty Contest; and
Decrease appropriations in the Special Advertising and Promotion Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $610 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
On February 9, 2020 the Community Action Team will be hosting their annual Bulldog Beauty Contest at Marina Vista Park at 10:00 AM. This is a community focused event that brings dog owners, and lovers together in a positive way to celebrate the fall season with a parade of pets and owners showcasing costumes and creativity.
As part of the FY 20 Adopted Budget, the City Council allocated $235,000 of Special Advertising and Promotions Fund Group (SAP) funds available to be divided equally between the City Council Districts to be used towards SAP-qualified special events or contributions, managed by the Office of Special Events and Filming in the City Manager Department. This recommendation is requesting that $610 of the Third Council District One-time SAP District Priority Funds be allocated for this special event.
