DISCUSSION

Patrick Russell has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on July 7, 2009, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of (1) Stipulations with Request for Award at a 65 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and (2) a $10,000.00 buy-out of vocational rehabilitation benefits by the City and Patrick Russell.

James Watson has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on July 7, 2009, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of five Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and James Watson, based upon (1) an 11 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary; (2) an 11 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary; (3) a 3 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary; (4) an 18 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary; and (5) a 27 percent disability rating with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
