TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all necessary documents to amend interim Munis Contract No. 3190000020 with Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., of Pomona, CA, for furnishing and delivering as-needed plumbing supplies, to increase the contract amount by $300,000, for a revised total annual amount not to exceed $816,500, and extend the term of the contract to April 30, 2020. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
At its meeting on January 6, 2014, the City Council awarded a contract to Ferguson Enterprises Inc. (Ferguson), as part of the adoption of Specifications No. ITB LB15-010 for as-needed plumbing supplies for a period of two years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods (Contract). The City Council action authorized purchasing authority in an annual amount not to exceed $910,000, with an expiration date of January 1, 2019.
On June 18, 2019, the City Council authorized an increase to the Contract in the amount of $516,500 through November 30, 2019 as interim measure until a new procurement process was completed. The authorized amount under the current terms and conditions of the interim Contract has been exhausted. City Council approval is requested to increase the existing Contract with Ferguson by $300,000 and extend the term to April 30, 2020, to allow for the completion of the procurement process, which is taking longer than anticipated as additional innovative procurement strategies are evaluated. It is anticipated a new contract will be presented to the City Council for approval by April 2020.
