DISCUSSION
On November 10, 2019, the Third Council Office held its 6th Annual Anti-Bullying event. This event is focused on helping students navigate, identify, and appropriately respond to instances of bullying through interactive roleplaying. The event was held at California State University, Long Beach. The Kids Theatre Company, Los Angeles provided speakers/facilitators for the interactive portion of the event.

This matter was reviewed by Director of Financial Management, John Gross, on November 4, 2019.

STATEMENT OF URGENCY

This event was held November 10, 2019 and so the funds are sought as soon as possible.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation includes a request for the City Manager to provide a contribution to The Kids Theatre Company, Los Angeles for their participation in the event. The total appropriation increase in the Special Advertising and Promotion Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $908 is offset by a decrease in appropriation of Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the Special Advertising and Promotion Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department.
