TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the Fourth Council District one-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the South Coast Interfaith Council Program MAYE (MAYE Center) in support of the upcoming community Wellness and Health Fair to be held on November 24th; and

DISCUSSION
The MAYE Center, United Cambodian Community (UCC) and Sustainable Health Empowerment (SHE) is hosting a free community Well ness and Health Fair on November 24th from 1 Oam-1 pm at the MAYE Center and UCC facility on Dawson Ave in the Fourth Council District.

SHE will be flying in specialists, doctors and nurses with help from UCLA medical students to do step 1 of screenings, general health education, and women health education. They will also distribute free reading and UV protect glasses along with donation of fresh produce from our collaborative partners. This event has no age or income restrictions.

STATEMENT OF URGENCY:

?Given that this event is at the end of the month, approval of this recommendation is needed to ensure a timely contribution to the South Coast Interfaith Council Program MAYE so they can make payments to vendors for the upcoming event.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a contribution to the South Coast Interfaith Council Program MAYE in support of the upcoming community Wellness and Health Fair to be held on November 24th.
