DISCUSSION
INTRODUCTION:

On October 19th, 2019, the Greenbelt Heights Neighborhood Association will be hosting an event, the Greenbelt Goblinfest, in the Greenbelt Heights Park as a way of activating the public space and creating a positive event to bring the neighborhood together in a fun interactive way. The event will require things such as rental of generator, stage, stairs, chairs, trashcans, rental pickups, permit fees, band, and face painters. The Third Council District is providing a donation to the Greenbelt Heights Neighborhood Association to help support various expenses for their Greenbelt Goblinfest event.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager, Grace H. Yoon on October 11, 2019.

STATEMENT OF URGENCY

The event is scheduled for October 19, 2019 and funding is sought for purchases in support of the event prior to that date.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a payment to the Greenbelt Heights Neighborhood Association for support of the Greenbelt Goblinfest. The total appropriation increase in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1 ,295 is offset by a decrease of appropriation of Third Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department.
