TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute an agreement with Thomas B. Modica to serve as Acting City Manager.
DISCUSSION
Pursuant to Section 300 of the City Charter and the deliberations of the City Council at Closed Session on September 3, 2019, and September 10, 2019, the City Council authorized the terms of an agreement with Thomas B. Modica to serve as Acting City Manager commencing September 20,2019. Thomas B. Modica will serve as Acting City Manager until a permanent City Manager is chosen following a nationwide search. The appointment of Thomas B. Modica as Acting City Manager will not preclude Mr. Modica from applying for the permanent City Manager position.
The City shall pay the Acting City Manager a salary of $276,815.676 for a twelve (12)-month period, at the hourly rate of $132.629 per hour.
