DISCUSSION

The Coca-Cola Foundation has awarded the Long Beach Conservation Corps $250,000 to improve recycling participation. This will be achieved through recycling education programs, new recycling bins for public spaces, and recycling street teams at events in Long Beach. The Conservation Corps of Long Beach will be placing recycling bins at beaches and parks. In addition, the Corps will be partnering with Long Beach Environmental Services Bureau on a door-to-door recycling awareness program on how and where to recycle household items.
