TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the Capital Projects Fund Group in the Public Works Department by $55,000, offset by the First Council District one-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to support the creation of angled parking and infrastructure improvements in the North Pine neighborhood.

DISCUSSION

This Council recommendation requests a funding transfer for the Public Works Department to create angled parking and implement infrastructure improvements in the North Pine neighborhood. These efforts will help calm traffic and provide additional parking and a better quality of life in the neighborhood.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on May 23, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation provides funds to the Public Works Department to support the creation of angled parking and infrastructure improvements in the North Pine neighborhood. The total appropriation increase of $55,000 in the Capital Projects Fund Group in the Public Works Department is offset by a transfer of First Council District onetime District Priority Funds from the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. Completing this work is anticipated to result in a minimal impact to staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and a minimal impact on Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
