DISCUSSION
The Transpacific Yacht Club (TPYC) will host the 51st Transpacific Yacht Race (Transpac) from Long Beach, California, to Honolulu, Hawaii, in July 2019. The first biennial 2,225 nautical mile race was held in 1906; it included three yachts with the winner crossing the finish line 12 days, 9 hours and 59 minutes after the start. Transpac is one of yachting’s premier offshore races in the world of sailing attracting entrants from all over the world. International home ports for the 2019 race include Asgardstrand, Norway; Yokosuka, Japan; North Vancouver, Canada; Melbourne, Australia; Milan, Italy; Krasnoyarsk, Russia; and Dolphin Square, Great Britain.

The 2019 Transpac anticipates 96 entries, with three separate start dates on July 10th, 12th and 13th.
