TITLE

DISCUSSION

Donald Johnson has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on May 21, 2019, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of 1) Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Donald Johnson, based upon a 78 percent disability rating with further provision for a life pension at the rate of $139.15 subject to COLA increases per week after the permanent disability has been paid, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary and 2) a Compromise and Release in the amount of $10,000.00.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
