TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department (20) by $2,500, offset by the Seventh Council District one-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department (70) for a contribution to the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association who will be hosting two additional summer concerts at Los Cerritos Park; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department (70) by $2,500 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department (20).

DISCUSSION

Councilmember Uranga and the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association will be conducting

two concerts in the park on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 and Wednesday, August 14,2019

at Los Cerritos Park at 6:00pm. The Council Office has partnered with the Los Cerritos

Neighborhood Association to enhance the summer programming and concerts after the

conclusion of the Municipal Band schedule.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on April26, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation provides funds to the Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association who will

be conducting two concerts at Los Cerritos Park. The total appropriation increase of $2,500

in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department (20) will be offset by a

decrease of appropriation of Seventh Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the

General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department (70). This recommendation is

anticipated to result in a minimal impact to staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of

duties and is in line with existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

ROBERTO URANGA

COUNCILMEMBER, SEVENTH DISTRICT
