Tyler R. Leshey (District 3)

 

Tyler is a business owner on Second Street and resident of Naples. He is the co- founder of Dabble & Dollop, LLC in Belmont Shore it is a children-centric bath and personal care brand focused on mixable products designed to spark creativity. A portion of all the sales go to benefits STEM programs for women and underserved communities. He is personally vested in the continued health of the Belmont Shore business community.

Kevin McGuan (District 2)

 

For over 30 years, Kevin McGuan has lived and worked in Long Beach, both as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and as a volunteer on many civic and non-profit boards. Since 1989, he has called the historic Villa Riviera his home. In 2009, he served as President of the Homeowners Association which oversaw the massive exterior restoration project in compliance with the United States Secretary. of the Interior's Standards.

John is the CEO of American Lending Center, LLC, one of the most successful U.S. non-bank lenders specializing in government-sponsored loan programs designed for small businesses. His expertise includes commercial lending, structural financing, private equity, and venture capital fund management. He is a recipient of the "SBA 504 Lender of the Year JJ Award by Coleman Report and the "Forever Duke" Alumni Award by Duke University.

Scott Gram is the Chief Executive Officer at Total Terminals International, LLC (TTI). TTI is a Container Terminal Operator in the Port of Long Beach. TTI employs approximately 1500 Long Beach and Los Angeles residents and works to ensure it engages in a positive way to support the people it employs. Scott has extensive hands-on experience in business leadership, working closely with Board of Directors, banks and attorneys, and staff from all levels of operation.

Simon Kim is the Associate Vice President for Research and Sponsored Programs, Academic Affairs, California State University, Long Beach. He has more than ten years of administrative experience in education. Simon also serves as professor at the Department of Advanced Studies in Education and Counseling, College of Education, California State University, Long Beach.

Michele Valencia (District 1)

 

Michele is a volunteer with the Aquarium of the Pacific where she works to organize and markets events at the Aquarium. Michele was the Program and Administrative Assistant for Senior Services Department and the Los Angeles LGB T Center. In that role, she helped facilitate programs and activities at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Triangle Square-the nation's first and largest affordable housing complex for low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender seniors.
