TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW) in the amount of $84,100, offset by the Fourth Council District one-time District Priority Funds transferred from the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC) to support sidewalk improvements at various locations.

DISCUSSION

With concerns around pedestrian safety throughout the Fourth Council District, improvements are needed to repair the current sidewalk conditions at the following locations:

2283 Albury Ave.

2120 Senasac Ave.

2038 San Vicente Ave.

1917 Chatwin Ave.

Whaley Park (curb repair)

3601 E. 14th St.

3603 E. 14th St.

2158 Lomina Ave.

2253 Lomina Ave.

3200 block of E. Wilton St.

2130 Greenbrier Rd.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on February 26, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT

The total appropriation increase of $84,100 in the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW) will be offset by a transfer of the Fourth Council District one-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC). Completing this work is anticipated to result in a minimal impact to staff hours and City Council priorities beyond normal budgeted scope of duties.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
