DISCUSSION

The City Council is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a second amendment to the agreement with the firm of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo for legal services in the matter entitled Thomas Gonzales, an individual v. City of Long Beach Case Number NC053533. The amendment would authorize an additional $25,000.00 for legal services to oppose plaintiff's motion for attorneys' fees, which seeks $3,687,388.05 in said fees.
