TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department (PRM) by $3,500, offset by the Second Council District One-time District Priority funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department (XC) to fund festoon lights for the East Village Arts Park; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC) by $3,500 to offset a transfer to the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department (PRM).

DISCUSSION

The purchase and installation of festoon lighting in the East Village Arts Park located at 150 Elm Avenue will increase lighting in the park and increasing public safety. Per the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding," the Second Council District is requesting to transfer one-time District Priority Funds to the Parks, Recreation, and Marine Department to cover the expenses for the installation of festoon lights.

FISCAL IMPACT

The total appropriation increase of $3,500 in the General Fund (GF) in the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department (PRM) is offset by a decrease of appropriation of one-time District Priority funds in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC).

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,
