TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Legislative Department (LD) by $5,191, offset by the projected Third Council District FY 18 office budget surplus to be used for community meetings, events and public outreach efforts.
DISCUSSION
The anticipated FY 18 Year-End surplus for Council District Three is estimated at $5,191. In accordance with the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding," Council District Three is requesting that its FY 18 budget savings be carried over to its FY 19 office budget to be utilized for community meetings, events and public outreach.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation increase of $5,191 in the General Fund (GF) in the Legislative Department (LD) is offset by the projected Third Council District FY 18 year-end savings. If sufficient savings are not realized in the Third Council District budget when the books for FY 18 are fully closed, the remaining balance will be reduced from the Third Council District FY 19 budget in a subsequent city-wide budget adjustment.
