TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the City Manager Department (CM) by $5,000, offset by the Ninth Council District one-time district priority funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to support the 2018 Veterans Day Celebration; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC) by $5,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
The Long Beach Veterans Day Celebration is an Uptown tradition, which brings thousands of community members and visitors together, in honor of our servicemen and women. Per the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding," the Ninth Council District is requesting to transfer one-time district priority funds to the Special Events Office in the City Manager Department to cover expenses for the event.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation increase of $5,000 in the General Fund (GF) in the City Manager Department (CM) is offset by a decrease of appropriation of one-time district priority funds in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC).
