TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Public Works Department (PW) by $4,000, offset by $2,500 of the Second Council District one-time infrastructure funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department (XC) and $1,500 from the 4th Street Business Improvement District to support sidewalk power wash cleaning on the 4th Street Business Corridor; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Citywide Activities Department (XC) by $2,500 for a transfer to the Public Works Department (PW).

DISCUSSION

In accordance with the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding," the Second Council District is requesting that $2,500 of its one-time infrastructure funds be transferred for power washing services on 4th Street between Alamitos and Temple Avenues to support the maintenance of clean and safe streets for businesses, residents and visitors along the 4th Street Business corridor. The 4th Street Business Improvement District (BID) has approved a contribution of $1,500 towards this effort for their portion of 4th Street.

FISCAL IMPACT

The total appropriation increase of $4,000 in the General Fund (GF) in the Public Works Department (PW) is offset by a transfer of $2,500 of the Second Council District one-time infrastructure funds from the Citywide Activities Department (XC) and $1,500 of revenue from the 4th Street BID.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
