TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $55,750 and also separate authority to pay $8,680 for the claim of Kenneth Roberts in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Kenneth Roberts has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on December 2, 2008, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of two Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Kenneth Roberts, based upon 1) a 49 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary and 2) a 16 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
