TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund (GF) in the Legislative Department (LD) by $30,423, offset by the Fifth Council District FY 16 office budget surplus to be used for community and neighborhood events, meetings and public outreach efforts.
DISCUSSION
In accordance with the City's "Procedures for Implementation of Divide by Nine Funding", Council District Five is respectfully requesting that its office's cost savings of $30,423 from FY 16 be carried-over to its FY 17 office budget. The amount specified will be utilized for community and neighborhood events, meetings and/or outreach in compliance with the provisions in the City Charter and Long Beach Municipal Code and for an established public purpose.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation increase of $30,423 for the Fifth Council District office budget is offset by a transfer of one-time Divide by Nine funding from the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW).
